A Process of Precision Component Fabrication
Step 1: Design Submitted
The project began with our team receiving a full set of detailed shop drawings from Hutchinson Builders. For a major infrastructure project like this, our role was to interpret these plans to program the efficient production of over 3 tonnes of specified brackets, ensuring our fabrication strategy would achieve 100% compliance with the main contractor’s requirements.
Step 2: Fabrication & Welding
This stage involved the high-volume production of the support brackets. Our skilled tradespeople transformed heavy-grade steel plates into the finished components through a process of precision cutting, shaping and drilling. Each bracket was then expertly welded by our certified team to create the robust connections required to support this monumental piece of public infrastructure.
Step 3: Quality Control & Inspection
A commitment to consistency is critical when supplying components to a major builder. Throughout the production run, our team conducted rigorous quality control checks on batches of brackets. We verified all dimensions and weld quality against the approved shop drawings to guarantee that every single one of the thousands of components was uniform and accurate.
Step 4: Project Handover & Supply
With fabrication and quality assurance complete, the brackets were sent for Hot-Dip Galvanising (HDG) to ensure long-term durability. Upon their return, our team conducted a final inspection and then supplied the entire 3-tonne package. The finished brackets were organised and prepared for dispatch, providing the Hutchinson Builders site crew with a complete and accurate supply of components ready for installation.
